Life in the Franziskus boarding school is by no means monotonous and boring. On the contrary, actually. In addition to school and regular boarding school life, various extracurricular activities ensure a healthy balance and clear your mind. The wide range of sporting activities promises not only keeping the body healthy, but also the mind. This promotes the young people's ability to concentrate. The promotion of personality and the associated promotion of social behavior are very important to them. In this way, clear rules and limits are set. These are adapted to the respective age of the young people. In addition, every student has to fulfill tasks and duties that, among other things, serve the community. The required level of performance is maintained through continuous contact with schools and training centers.

The Marktoberdorf boarding school accommodates students from all three types of school. Some boarding school places are intended from the outset for high school and middle school students. If the high school students find that this is not the right type of school, students at the boarding school can stay in the familiar environment and complete their secondary school leaving certificate at the neighboring schools. In addition to creating a pleasant atmosphere in which the students can feel at home and accepted, the promotion of school learning is a particular concern. In manageable learning groups of 5-10 students, in addition to the full-time educators, teachers of the grammar school work in the study rooms, who are competent to assist the students with questions and problems relating to their respective subjects.

The Landschulheim Marquartstein school has developed its own educational concept based on its reform pedagogical tradition, which goes back to the school's founder, Herman Harless. This aims at the unity of knowledge transfer and personality development. The boarding school with around 110 students and the day care center with around 60 students are firmly connected to the school. In addition to the introduction to effective and independent learning, the imparting of life and social skills is the most important goal of our educational work in the boarding school.
